With a glimmering hope and a new born gleam
She walked confidently, she finally realized her self esteem.
When he threw her aside, and left her like he never cared
When he disrespected her and treated her like there was nothing that they’d shared.
She had nothing left to give him, he left her there all alone
She had to pick herself up and dust herself off, as a person, she’d grown.
For a year, all she tried to do is make him happy and smile
But what she got in return was him treating her like she was some trial.
Tested and tried, she handled his insecurities and all
He pushed her aside when she needed him, he left her there to fall.
